During spring break and summer vacation, millions of people flock to popular tourist spots to see what they’re all about. Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Miami Beach, New York are all popular spots, and all very nice places. There is often one problem that can take away from the enjoyment of it, though, and that is people. These places are often overcrowded, which makes many tired of being there. Maybe this summer will be the one you go to a new and exciting place, where you also can get some peace and quiet. Here are some good spots to do just that:

Sedona, Arizona offers beautiful scenery, great food and amazing spas. Sedona’s red mountains are also perfect places to hike, and it’s not too crowded, so if you hike up to a spot with a nice view, you’ll have the perfect place to relax. Sedona is also said to have vortexes that are good for your spirit, so if you believe in that, this may be the perfect place for you.

Kennebunkport, Maine is a pretty, tiny town in southern Maine, where you can enjoy a quiet day on the beach, while experiencing a place not many can say they have been to. If you walk in the streets of Kennebunkport in the morning, and then sit town for a cup of coffee and breakfast while you look at people take their boats out on the ocean, and artists performing and creating in the street, you’ll feel like you’re excatlcy where you’re supposed to be.

The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara, California is a beautiful resort on the coast of California. Secluded from the busiest places in the area, the Ritz-Carlton is a perfect fit for someone looking for a traditional vacation, without a lot of other tourists around. The area around the resort is perfect for many activities. You can go to the beach, play tennis, hike, work out, go to the spa and eat delicious food. Going to the Ritz-Carlton Bacara might be easier said than done, though, as a room costs at least $299 a night.

Those three places are only a small part of a large selection of cool places to experience in the U.S. Maybe this will be the summer you discover your new favorite location.
