Three Rivers hosted the Wolverine Conference tournament Saturday and the Cats

finished with a 2-1 record to secure 5th place in the league. In the first match, 3rd seed

Vicksburg defeated 6th seed Three Rivers 19-25, 18-25. In the second match the Cats

defeated 7th seed Sturgis 25-14, 25-22. In the third the Cats bettered 5th seed Paw Paw

25-22, 17-25, 15-12.

o Shelby Krawczak led the team with 16 kills followed by Campbell Haradine with

14. Libby Judsen added 13. Middles continued their success with Hannah Orzol's

7 kills while Hadley Miller and Abby Springer each added 3. Orzol also asserted

herself as a blocker with 8, Krawczak contributed with 4 and Haradine and Judsen

added 2 blocks apiece.

o Maya Bidelman assisted on 33 kills and Darian Cole added 22. Digging leaders

were Tessa Hawkins with 57, Krawczak 31, Bidelman 17 and Morgan Schneider

15. Hawkins also led the team with 3 aces.

 “A goal in the conference tournament is to better your seed and we accomplished that,”

said coach Erik Kore.”Our goal next year will be to win the first match of the day so

we’re playing for 1st through 4th place.”

 “I also want to thank all the workers who volunteered their time in helping to host the

event. There were lots of donated hours today and all season long.”

 The team bids farewell to seniors Darian Cole, Libby Judsen, Hannah Orzol, Morgan

Schneider, Abby Springer, and Zoey Willson who played their last matches at the Purple

Palace.

 Three Rivers begins district play at Vicksburg on Wednesday at 6:00 playing the winner

of Dowagiac and Edwardsburg. The bracket’s other half features Paw Paw vs. Vicksburg.

 The Cats end the regular season with a 17-18- 5 record

 On Saturday both the boys and girls XC teams traveled to Buchanan for the regional

competition.

o The boys finished in 10 th place. Top finishers include:

 Jan Scare – 36 th

 Cole Appoloni – 58 th

 Davis Dickerson – 61 st

 Nate Adams – 65 th

 Colby Hasse – 70 th

o The girls finished in 11th place. Top finishers include:

 Carissa Kelley – 22nd

 Kaitlin Ritchie – 31st

 Sam Mohney – 54th

 In the final volleyball match of the regular season, TR traveled to Plainwell.

o In the final conference match of the season, Plainwell defeated Three Rivers 25-

17, 12-25, 24-26, 20-25.

 “Plainwell is the top seed going into our conference tournament, and we

played them tough, played with grit, but a few unforced errors turned the

match their way.”

o Campbell Haradine and Libby Judsen each had 9 kills for the Wildcats, Hannah

Orzol had 8, and . had 8. Maya Bidelman led with 21 assists with Tessa Hawkins

anchoring the defense with 23 digs. Krawczak collected 16 digs, Morgan

Schneider 14, and Bidelman added 11.

o Darian Cole served 3 aces and Krawczak and Hadley Miller each had 2. Haradine

and Abby Springer both contributed 3 blocks apiece.

 Three Rivers ends the regular season with a 4-6 conference record and 15-17- 5 overall.

 The Three Rivers JV volleyball team lost to Plainwell in two games 23-15, 13-25. Erin

Brady had 9 digs, 1 block, 7 assists and 1 ace. Alexandria Deel had 8 digs and 3 aces.

Megan Tadajewski had 6 digs. Isabella Karle had 6 digs and 3 kills. Jessica Barnes had 4

kills and 1 block. Jaeden McBride had 3 digs and 1 kill. Abigail Stephens had 3 digs, 3

assists and 1 ace. Aislyn Sternbergh had 3 digs and 2 kills. The JVs ended their season

with an 18-14- 3 record.

 In the freshman match, the girls lost a close first set 23 to 25 defeated Plainwell Trojans

in the second set 25 to 15, and in set number three the girls lost 11 to 15

o Karalyn Eldridge completed the night with five kills Emma Thatcher and Caliah

Brown added 3 kills each and Maddie Borst added a couple kills as well. Tori

Brown and Lizzie Bissett served up three aces each as Emma and Maddie Borst

and Karalyn Eldridge also added an ace. Maddie Borst and Caliah both added

blocks on defense.

o Girls overall record is 17-9- 8. And in conference play was 14-6…. it was a great

season and the highlight of the season was the girls taking home the conference

tourney championship
