  • The Three Rivers Girls Varsity Tennis team participated in the Brandywine Bobcat Invitational on Saturday. The Wildcats finished 2nd Total team scores are below:
    • 1st Place, Brandywine with 29 points
    • 2nd Place, Three Rivers with 20 points
    • 3rd Place, South Bend Washington with 15 points
    • 4th Place, Galesburg-Augusta with 14 points
  • “The girls played some good tennis today. I was really happy how they dealt with the weather. It was mostly sunny and in the fifties, so that was good, but with the high winds, that brought the temperature down and the wind can do some crazy things to the ball, making it tough to play your normal game, you really have to adjust to play the wind and they did pretty well at that. We wrapped up second by having five of eight flights finish in second place.” – Coach Turner
  • Individual Results for Three Rivers:
    • 1 Singles: Erin Taylor, placed 2nd with wins over Galesburg-Augusta and South Bend Washington.
    • 2 Singles: Sidnee Arney, placed 2nd with wins over South Bend Washington and Galesburg-Augusta
    • 3 Singles: Audrey Dickerson had two loses. Brandywine and Galesburg-Augusta
    • 4 Singles: Katherine Miller won her first match by forfeit and then lost to the flight champion Brandywine. Then to S.B. Washington.
    • 1 Doubles: Mary Miller / Brianna Kupiec. They won their first match against S.B Washington to get them on the winners’ side of the bracket. Then ended up losing a couple of matches, one to G-A, which won the flight, and then to Brandywine.
    • 2 Doubles: Amy Abel / Olivia Guy, placed 2nd with wins over S.B Washington and Galesburg
    • 3 Doubles: Anna Dong / Lucy Dong, place 2nd. The Dong sisters lost in the finals to Brandywine.
    • 4 Doubles: Kayla Crippin / Mykala Dunson, placed 2nd with wins over G-A and S.B. Washington.
  • On Friday, the boys track team traveled to Kalamazoo Central for the Jim Long Track and Field Invite.

    • Top finishers include:
      • 4X200 M Relay – 2nd Place – Van Oss, Kiser, Johnson, Stafne
      • 4X100 M Relay – 1st Place – Crocker, New, Johnson, Stafne
      • 4X800 M Relay – 3rd Place
      • 44’0 Tirrell Hausmanis, 4×100 45.55 team of Tyson New, Dan Foura, Jake Crocker, Esden Stafne, 4×200 1:35.66 team of Andrew Johnson,  Siete Kiser, Traven VanOss,  Esden Stafne,  4×400 3:35.36 team of Andrew Johnson, Traven VanOss,  Dan Foura, Seite Kiser.  We finished 1st in all 4 of these events,  overall the team is coming together and getting healthy at the right time.
    • On Friday, Three Rivers played Allegan in baseball and softball.
      • The varsities traveled to Allegan.
        • The varsity girls won both against Allegan. 15-4 in game 1 and 17-2 in game 2.
          • Kylee Nash pitched 5 innings in game 2 with 9 strike outs.
          • Karalynn Eldridge had 4 hits, Kylee and Libby Judsen had 3 hits each.
            • Kylee Nash 4 RBI’s, Jessica Barnes and Libby had 3 RBI’s each.
          • The varsity boys won both against Allegan.
          • The JV boys won both against Allegan as well, 16-1 in game 1 and 11-0 in game 2.
          • Allegan does not have a JV softball team.
  • On Wednesday, Three Rivers hosted powerhouse Kalamazoo Christian in softball.
    • In game one, TR lost 4-3
      • Kylee was the losing pitcher giving up 7 hits 4 runs walked 2 and struck out 7
      • Karalyn 2-4 Single 1 dbl
      • Kylee 1-3 double, HR
      • Erin 1-3 single
      • Tessa 2-3 2 singles
    • In game 2, TR won 12-8
      • Jessica Barnes started pitching for the Cats. Kylee came in to finish the game and was the winning pitcher giving up 3 hits and 4 unearned runs striking out 4 on 3 innings pitched.
      • Karalyn 3-4 2 singles 1 dbl
      • Emma 2-4 2 singles
      • Halle 3-4 2 singles 1 dbl 3 RBI
      • Jess 1-3 1 dbl 1 RBI
      • Kylee 2-3 1 single 1 dbl 2 RBI
      • Brady 1-3 single RBI
      • Emily Bass played up from JV 1 double 1 RBI
      • Summer 1-4 double 3 RBI
    • We fell short the first game because we couldn’t get the bats going.
    • The second game was head to head for a while and we finally started hitting
    • Both of my seniors were gone tonight at Honors Awards night. I brought up Emily Bass from JV to fill in. She put the ball in play scoring one and getting on base.
    • On Wednesday, Three Rivers hosted Sturgis for JV & V soccer.
      • The Varsity girls won 5-2, in a good game against Sturgis.
        • We went up 1-0 at half. It was a solid first half by both teams. We set up a nice cross from Izzy Taylor and then Abby Stephens put it in the net at 23:39.
      • Second half goals were scored by:
        • Kelsey Barrett 24 seconds into the half with an assist by Lauryn Carlisi.
        • Next goal was by Izzy Taylor at 34:34 on a PK.
        • Fourth was by Kelsey Barrett with an assist from Izzy Taylor at 15:20.
        • Last goal was put in by Hannah Shane with an assist by Kelsey Barrett with 8 seconds left to go.
      • Jaylin Harbin had 5 keeper saves on the night.
      • We had solid shots tonight and made them count. We have been working on positions and placing the ball for shots and when to capitalize and tonight it paid off. It was a great team effort by all tonight.
      • The JV girls lost 6-0. We went down 2-0 at half then they scored 4 in the second half.
        • Nicole Ambs had 15 keeper saves tonight.
        • Rylee Menz had one shot one goal.
      • Three Rivers hosted South Haven, Otsego and Sturgis on Tuesday for the last Wolverine Conference track meet of the season (before the conference championship).
        • The girls won both

    • The boys went won one and lost one.

        • “The boys ran outstanding as a group. 3 of the top teams in the conference were on the track in Otsego, Sturgis and south Haven.  It was a quality meet on a cold night.   We were able to win the 4×400 team of Kiser, Vanoss, Foura and A Johnson.  There was countless guys who were sore and hurting that stepped up and competed hard for us to be able to beat south haven 78-58” – Coach Schmidtendorff

        • On Monday, the varsity girls’ soccer team hosted Dowagiac on a cold and rainy night.
          • TR won 4-0
            • Scoring in the first half was Kaitlin Ritchie at 24 minute mark with an assist by Kelsey Barrett.
            • Second half goals were by Zoey Willson at 20:15 with an assist by Kelsey Barrett.
            • Third goal was by Kaitlin Ritchie at 17:30 with an assist by Abby Stephens
            • The final goal was by Abby Stephens at the 9 minute mark with an assist by Lauryn Carlisi.
            • We did a great job of passing the ball around tonight in the whole game. Leading in shots was Abby Stephens and Kelsey Barrett.
            • Jaylin Harbin had 5 keeper saves.
