Coming from the San Francisco Bay area, Zach Daniels is the New Spanish teacher here at TRHS. Daniels graduated from Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward, California. After high school, he attended California State University- East Bay and graduated with a major in Spanish and minor in Latin American Studies. At his old school, he taught Spanish and cooking.
Outside of school, Daniels says that in his free time he likes to garden, play pinball, and cycle. Daniels said that he’s “really enjoying it here. The teachers are supportive and helpful and the students are fun!”
As a new teacher to TRHS, when he was asked to be the freshman class advisor, he accepted. “It helped that I knew a handful of students already,” Daniels said about his first day nerves. His favorite part about teaching Spanish is “giving students the opportunity to broaden their horizons, in terms of communication and travel,” said Daniels. His advice that he would give to his students is that language learning isn’t easy, but don’t give up. Welcome to TRHS, Señor Daniels.
